LIVE AND IN PERSON!
Tonight, my Jezebel co-editor, Moe Tkacik, and I will be appearing before a live audience for Shoot the Messenger, a weekly show created by Lizz Winstead (the chick that created the Daily Show), and Lizz will be interviewing us, I'm guessing about feminism and sex and politics and this "over-sharing" business. Anyways, here's the info if you want to come and heckle us. (There will be a Q&A session afterward.)

(Too short of notice? I don't know how to form this sentence. But you get the point.)

I went and checked this out last night, and you guys were just as awesome as I'd hoped you would be. But did you have any idea that Lizz was going to be playing the role of aging hippie liberal guidance counselor when she interviewed you? Was it just me, or did she seem like she was trying to shame you guys for your alleged (or admitted) promiscuity? For a woman who laughingly calls herself "Terminator 3" when it comes to abortion, she's pretty uptight about the whole Rape thing isn't she? Well, I guess that sounds fucked up, but I know you know what I mean...

i second the idea of you writing a slutmachine book.
because if feminism is dead, then it needs a new wake up call.

feminism isn't dead.
i think that's just something people say to, you know... sell books.

i just watched the full interview on the website and after i was so pissed. she completely trapped you guys!
it's a show in which drinking is heavily involved AND encouraged and she was just stuck on these topics.
you told your opinion on it- that you have no experience with it and only write about what you know etc etc- but it seemed like she wanted you to take all the responsibility and apologise for your lifestyle or something. I don't know what she wanted but she was was a really annoying, shrill, molly shannon wannabe and seemed like she was doing some kind of stand up comedy routine at times when she kept interrupting you guys (which she did almost every single time).
i just thought the whole thing was unfair and was inappropriate and too informal to be focused on such serious things when you were both not in a mindset coherent enough to fill the role she was demanding of you.
i had to tell you this, so don't feel bad about it- she was just using you guys as a rape scapegoat (a rape goat?)

Before you go and talk about people who are raped and make broad generalizations, put the alcohol the fuck down. Actually, why don't you shut the fuck up? So my friend was raped by her father. She should have like, totally not been so stupid, and like, got out of that situation, and not been like, so stupid? Seriously. fuck you and that drivel you call an interview.
I had never heard of you or your blog before I saw your interview, and honestly, you appear to be a poor example of a human being.
Being drunk is not an excuse for what you said. Put the bottle down. Shut your mouth. Have a nice day, you wanker.
